FAQ - General Visa Information
A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is not required for direct entry into Brazil, but it is recommended. The vaccine should be administered at least 10 days before travel. If you are transiting through or arriving from countries where Yellow Fever is present, airlines or local authorities may conduct their own checks. We verify these requirements against your travel routing to ensure compliance.
The Embassy requires applicants to submit in person and attend an interview after the initial online pre-analysis. If you are genuinely unable to attend, you may email the mission to request authorization for a P.R.O. to apply on your behalf. We facilitate this request and, once approved, can represent you.
Business travel under the VIVIS (Business) category is permitted for short-term activities such as meetings, trade fairs, audits, or contract signings. A letter from the inviting Brazilian company is required—on official letterhead, in Portuguese, including the CNPJ, purpose, and dates of travel. The letter must be notarized in Brazil or digitally signed. We coordinate with your host company to ensure it meets consular standards. From the UAE side, we prepare your employer’s No Objection Certificate (NOC), align hotel and flight bookings with your meeting agenda, and confirm that your financial and insurance documents support the stated trip—presenting a coherent and credible business case to the consulate.
Sticker-visa applications for UAE residents are processed by the Embassy of Brazil in Abu Dhabi through the E-Consular system (online form, pre-analysis, and appointment scheduling). We guide you through each stage and align your travel dates with available slots, as the system typically releases appointments within a 45-day window.
Minors under 12 are not required to appear at the Embassy; their parents or legal guardians may submit the application on their behalf. For family travel, it is advisable to carry originals and copies of birth and marriage certificates in a language accepted by the mission. If civil documents are not in English, Portuguese, or Spanish, the Consulate may require sworn translations. We guide you on the exact requirements applicable to your case. If the stay involves relatives in Brazil, we ensure that the host’s invitation letter and proof of family relationship are properly aligned. These documents are packaged together with travel insurance and proof of funds to present a clear and consistent application.
A standard visitor visa under the VIVIS category allows short stays of up to 90 days. This is the maximum permitted duration, but your actual length of stay is determined and stamped on arrival by Brazil’s Federal Police. It’s important to note that a visa only grants you permission to request entry—it does not guarantee admission. Border officers may ask to see proof of accommodation, sufficient funds, a return ticket, or travel insurance.
